Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Akras Building Services, Inc. (“Akras,” “we,” “us”) handles information from this website. Some of it you give us directly, on our quote, emergency, and careers forms. Some is collected automatically when you view one of our public pages, by the analytics and advertising tools described below.

What we collect

  • Information you submit through our quote and emergency forms: your name, company, phone, email, the services you need, urgency, property type, a description of the work, and an optional site address.
  • Information you submit through our careers form: your name, email, phone, the trades you work in, your years of experience, the languages you speak, and any references or notes you give us.
  • Technical information collected when you submit any of those forms: your IP address and browser user-agent (to prevent abuse and protect the form).
  • Marketing attribution collected when you submit our quote or emergency form: the utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content values in the web address you arrived on, and the page that referred you, so we understand how you found us.
  • Analytics and advertising information collected when you view one of our public pages, whether or not you submit anything — see the next section.

Analytics and advertising cookies

The pages of our public website — our home page, services, about, careers, contact, and these policy pages — use three tools provided by other companies:

  • Google Analytics 4, provided by Google and loaded from googletagmanager.com. It sets cookies in your browser named _ga and _ga_ followed by a property identifier.
  • The Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms and loaded from connect.facebook.net. It sets cookies in your browser named _fbp and _fbc.
  • The TikTok Pixel, provided by TikTok and loaded from analytics.tiktok.com. It sets cookies in your browser named _ttp, _tt_enable_cookie, and ttcsid and ttcsid_ followed by our pixel identifier; and, if you reached us by clicking a TikTok ad, ttclid. TikTok also stores a _ttp cookie of its own on tiktok.com. TikTok states that these expire thirteen (13) months after they are set or last used.

All three load when you view one of those pages — not only when you submit a form — and each reports the page view to the company that provides it.

None of these tools runs on any page that requires a login. Our crew app, warehouse app, customer portal, and internal office system do not carry them.

Each tool loads only when we have configured it with that company’s account identifier. Where we have not configured one, that tool is not loaded and nothing is sent to that company.

Why we collect it

We use what you submit to qualify and respond to your lead, schedule and deliver the services you request, communicate with you about your project, and — for a careers submission — consider you for work. Technical and attribution data help us secure our forms and understand how you found us. Analytics and advertising data help us understand how people use this website and measure our advertising.

How long we keep it

We retain lead and inquiry information for up to three (3) years, after which it is deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required for an active project, contract, or legal obligation.

Who receives it

We do not sell or rent your personal information. It reaches:

  • service providers that help us operate — for example our email-delivery provider — and only as needed to respond to you;
  • Google, which receives the Google Analytics information described above;
  • Meta Platforms, which receives the Meta Pixel information described above and uses it for advertising;
  • TikTok, which receives the TikTok Pixel information described above and uses it for advertising.
